Program Resuming

The Mount Pearl Tennis Club has decided to resume lessons at our facility effective Monday, July 25th. As this is a fluid situation, we may have to cancel lessons at any time. We will inform our members immediately if this does occur. The safety of our staff and members is of the utmost importance during this time. Providing a program for our kids and members is our ultimate goal. All lessons will go ahead at their regularly scheduled times, pending appropriate weather conditions.

Program Update

Due to the ongoing labour dispute in the City of Mount Pearl; the Mount Pearl Tennis Club will be suspending all lesson and league programming at our facility until Sunday, July 24.  Going forward we will update our website on Sunday evenings and give an update to our members about the lessons for the upcoming week. In addition our clubhouse will be closed.  The safety of our members and our youth staff is of the utmost importance to the club.  We do not wish to put anyone at risk attempting to cross a picket line in order to participate in our programming.

We are currently looking at all other options to resume our program and plans to offer additional lesson time to make up for what is lost.  Please have patience as we work through this difficult situation. If the labour dispute is resolved during the week, we will be able to resume programming at our facility within 24 hours.

We are sorry for any inconvenience.  Our volunteer board is very disappointed to have to make this decision.  We will be monitoring the situation closely and will keep you informed. Please visit our website and social media for updates.

Thank you,
Mount Pearl Tennis Club Executive

Tennis Ball Machine Has Arrived!

The Mount Pearl Tennis Club now has a ball machine that can be used by members for the 2022 season.  This machine can be used freely by adult members of the club during the operating hours of the club.  Some important information and usage notes about the machine is listed below:

  • Operating the machine can be dangerous, and for that reason is off limits to junior members.
    • Adult members can operate the machine for our junior members.
  • The machine is free to use provided it is cared for appropriately.  Inappropriate usage will result in your usage privileges being revoked.
  • The machine must be pre-booked using our court booking software, and is only available during club operating hours.
  • All members must review our usage videos, or quick start guide, before using the machine for the first time.
  • The ball machine is battery operated, and while we will endeavor to keep it fully charged for your use, you may not get a complete experience during your booking or the machine may be unavailable for your reservation while it is charging.
