Lessons start this Monday for juniors and adults! All members should have been called, or received an email with their scheduled lesson time. If you didn't talk to a staff member, check your voicemail, we left some messages as well.
If you did not receive your lesson time, please reach out to the clubhouse tomorrow at 748-1014 or mptcstaff@gmail.com to confirm. Folks will be at the club from 12 - 9 pm.
Please make sure you check with the club attendant before going on court for your lesson! You can do this at the canteen inside the clubhouse.
Tournament Schedule
We are are planning on hosting three adult tournaments and two junior tournaments this summer. You can learn more on our tournament page.
The Mount Pearl Open is the first tournament in a new Newfoundland Tournament Series called the TNL Open Series. Participating in the Mount Pearl Open (and other tournament stops) will award points in the tournament series towards the tournament series titles. You can learn more at https://nlopenseries.ca
League Information
All members of the singles and doubles leagues have been contacted explaining which leagues they are part of, and the formats for those leagues. You can learn more about the leagues on our leagues page. If you signed up for leagues and did not receive any information, or if you would now like to join a league, reach out to Thomas.
Adult leagues begin Monday, June 26th.
Our junior coaches will be coordinating some junior match play opportunities for our more advanced junior players. Once the first week is behind us, those opportunities will be communicated and scheduled. If you are interested in junior match play, please let us know!
Junior Theme Days and Special Events
For those new to the club, we often hold special events or theme days throughout the season. These usually start with week 2. We will communicate these during the lessons of the previous week, in the newsletter, and also through the Junior Corner at the back of the clubhouse.
The Junior Corner is a space dedicated to junior events and developments at the club, and is located in the back of the club house above the water fountain. I recommend a regular visit to this area to see what is on the go for junior members.
